The Cockerel Tail Feathers
The cockerel tail feathers used in the Rio Collection are naturally long. They are perfect for creating these exuberant and joyful designs. With a 85cm soft diameter, the Amaryllis is the perfect feather light shade for hallway lighting, dining table lighting and whimsical bedroom decor.
Why Cockerel Feathers?
Because cockerel Feathers are particularly long and sturdy, they allowed us to create the bigger designs that interior designers were requesting for hospitality lighting projects. The unique look of the Rio light-shades and chandeliers has equally caught the imagination of home owners as well as restaurant designers, across the world. The feathers come from fully grown cockerels as a by-product of poultry farming. They are then hand bleached and dyed in small batches the UK.

All of our feather lamp shades are very easy to clean.
For the Classic Collection we recommend using a damp cloth to gently wipe the feathers.
For the Rio Collection we recommend using either a vacuum cleaner or a hair dryer on a cool setting.
Alternatively, you can remove the shade, take it outside and give it a good shake. Remember that feathers are ‘designed’ to be durable and water resistant. The only danger of damage comes from putting weight on the feathers and breaking their spines.

Shipping of The Amaryllis
All products are handmade to order, which can take 3 weeks, sometimes less, so please be patient; it will be worth the wait. We will send tracking details by email when your order is ready to ship.
All deliveries are trackable and insured for the transit from dispatch to the delivery address.
Coldharbour Lights ships globally. Please note European and international deliveries are likely to be subject to customs charges and import duties. These charges will be the responsibility of the recipient. The customs office will contact the purchase to arrange payment before delivery.
Returns of The Amaryllis
All made to order products are non-refundable, unless they are faulty or damaged on arrival. If we agree to a return, the customer will cover the associated costs for the safe return. This includes insurance and original packaging the product arrived in.
If a product arrives broken, we will offer a refund and pay it once we have the item back. Coldharbour Lights will organise a safe return delivery in this unlikely case. We will also organise a replacement as a matter of priority

Coldharbour Lights is a decorative lighting design house. It specialises in the design and production of original feather light shades. Each piece is hand crafted and made to order in our London studio.
The Art Deco period and our roots in theatre inspires our designs with elegant lines. Lottie Davies founded Coldharbour Lights in Brixton, London in 2017
